FAMILY CAMP INFORMATION!
When our founders, Jess & Kayla, adopted their baby, they found that there aren't enough spaces for LGBTQ families to connect. Thus Brave Trails Family Camp was founded in 2017.
At Brave Trails Family Camp, we strive to create an experience that is a safe and welcoming for LGBTQ families to bond, build community, and have a ton of fun together!
There are lots of camp activities to choose from throughout the weekend or feel free to just kick back and relax. It's up to you! All ages and family members are welcome, even grandparents, friends, cousins, aunts & uncles. We welcome families that have LGBTQ+ parents and/or have LGBTQ+ children!

Brave Trails Family Camp is Located in Glendale, California.
Standard Shared Cabins
Families who select this option will stay in shared, bunk-style cabins complete with a shared bathroom and shower house. Shared cabins are located in upper camp (a bit of an uphill walk) and can sleep up to 12 people comfortably. Families will share a cabin with at least one other family, depending in on size. We will always do our best to accommodated bunk mate request and group families with children of similar ages.
Upgraded Private Room
A limited number of upgraded accommodations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This housing option will include a private room for your family in one of our multi-family upgraded houses or in an individual room.
Tuition includes all meals, snacks, lodging, programs materials, activity instructors & lessons, a camp t-shirt, and much more!
Standard Shared Cabin: $175 per person
Upgraded Housing: $210 per person
2 & Under: FREE!
There is a $100 deposit due, per family, at time of registration. Monthly payment plans are available. Our tuition pricing is per person (flat rate), not per day.
Brave Trails Family Camp Refund Policy
We carefully plan each session of camp for maximum fun. We understand that your schedule may change but our staffing, meal arrangements, programing are finalized based on projected attendance. With that in mind, please read our refund policies carefully.
All registrations require a $100 non-refundable deposit, per family. Only registrations that are accompanied by the deposit will be processed. The balance of camp tuition will be automatically charged to the card on file one month prior to the camper's camp start date.
- Prior to August 5, 2020, camp fees are refundable, less the $100 non-refundable deposit.
- 50% of tuition is refundable between August 5, 2020 - August 24, 2020, less the $100 non-refundable deposit.
- Absolutely no refunds will be issued starting on August 25, 2020.
This is becasue by this point, we will have already paid the non-refundable deposit to our rented campsite for your cabin and purchased program materials, snacks, your t-shirts, etc for your family. There will be no fee reduction or reimbursement for absences from camp due to illness, injury, homesickness, dismissal, voluntary withdrawal, family emergencies, vacation, school, unexpected visits from relatives, unhappiness with the program, or for any other reason. There will be no fee reduction or reimbursement for changes in programing on our part. All decisions to change programming are made with the best interest of our client's safety and experience in mind. If your family chooses to drop from camp after the "no refund" date, you have the option of banking your tuition funds until the next year or donating your tuition funds to our camper scholarship fund.
